The Upholstery Program at Indian Capital Technology Center is the only one of its kind in the state of Oklahoma and one of few in the United States.  ICTC's Upholstery Program affords its students the opportunity to gain the skills necessary in a variety of Upholstery areas including:  Furniture Manufacturing, Automotive Upholstery, Marine Upholstery and many miscellaneous areas of study.  Students are allowed the opportunity to gain experience in all of the areas or to specialize in one particular area.

The course is open to high school students and adults who desire Upholstery training.  We offer two classes per day, an A.M. class and a P.M. class.  The morning class meets from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and the afternoon class meets from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Adult students have the option of attending the class full or part time. A full-time student is one who attend the class during both the morning and afternoon session (6 hours per day).  A full-time student can complete the course in only one year (1050 clock hours).  Students who choose to attend the course on a part-time basis will only attend one class session per day (3 hours per day). 

Our class schedule is similar to public school.  Classes usually start around the middle of August and run through the middle of December.  The second semester runs from the first of January through the end of May.  We offer no summer classes; however, we do offer two night classes per year, which usually meet on Monday night and last 12 weeks.  Enrollment is limited and the class is always full so early enrollment is encouraged.

Enrollment

• Secondary Students - Students enrolled in a high school located in the Indian Capital Technology Center school district may apply for admission during regular high school enrollment periods.  No tuition is charged for high school students who reside within the Indian Capital district.
• Adult Students - Tuition for adult students is $262.50 per semester for a half day and $525.00 for a full day.  Additional fees are charged for textbooks and supplies.  Financial Aid is available for adult students who qualify.  Prior to admission an adult student's ability to benefit will be assessed.  Enrollment will not be finalized until a tuition deposit of $50.00 has been paid.  The deposit may be waived with an approved financial aid award.  The deposit is non refundable after beginning class.

College Credit

  Students enrolled in the Upholstery program at Indian Capital may earn up to 8 hours of college credit through a cooperative enrollment agreement with Oklahoma State University - Okmulgee Campus.
